Here is an example of a cosmetic case I did a few months ago. A patient wanted to get two of his veneers replaced because they were discolored. You can see from the top “Before” picture that his lateral incisors were significantly more yellow than the rest of his teeth. He was getting married in two months and wanted to get them to match before his big day!
By replacing two discolored veneers with two new ones that matched the color of the rest of his teeth (see below “After” photo), we were able to make a big difference in his smile and confidence. This is because when something is asymmetric or different, our eyes focus immediately on the discrepancy. Beauty is all about ideal proportions, and once we restored that symmetry in color, we were able to restore his beautiful, natural smile.
